Association between anti-thyroid antibodies and negative symptoms in early psychosis

interesting. i havent read it but perhaps it has to do with depression. IMO mental illnesses are connected, and prolonged depression caused by hypothyroidism might be a potential trigger, i think, for phychosis…prolonged over months youd be DX schizophrenic. May be the case for some people. Addressing underlying thyroid issues could be helpful for some.

My half-brother has hypothyroidism. My thyroid has always been fine but I have gained a lot of weight and had severe negatives in my opinion. I think schizophrenia is caused by a virus or at least in my case. I’m hoping to be cured in 1-2 years and then move on with my life.

So how do we get rid of anti-thyroid antibodies?

Interesting I had thyroid cancer and had to have it removed along with 6 tumors and a large cyst.
