oops, sorry i forgot take a picture of the parrots but i didn’t like them much tbh, at least i worked on them a little anyway, i am looking forward to next week and then the art exhibition, my horse is on sale for Ā£34 so fingers crossed, i said they could keep all of the money from the sale (if it sells)

I got procreate on my iPad and am loving infinite layers, redo and save functions.

This is my Billie. It took forever but it’s this photo.

I painted this yesterday and sold it today O_O
I rarely sell my art but every now and then. I like this painting though, I don’t know whats going on here but I like it. I would love to hear interpretations.

she looks like she is screaming in pain but it looks like a harmelss moth, idk, its a big moth though, i think i’d get scared if that was on my face.

How much money did you get for it? I’m selling 2 of my first acrylic paintings at an art exhibition soon, i’m excited, if i can make my charity Ā£75 from the sale i will be over the moon

It looks like a ragged doll, missing an eye. The moth came out of its mouth and is crawling on the face. Lol, hope I don’t creep anybody out.

I sold this one with some money, some tens of euros, as it is maybe ~ A4 size watercolour painting. I have sold art similar size art for more money at my art exhibitions though, but they were framed and the gallery that I had my exhibitions at takes a slice of the price of art. so buying art from me directly is cheaper than buying at a gallery. putting a price on your art is always super super hard and if you’re selling at a gallery, make sure to check what percentage does the gallery want of your sales.

@Andrey @daydreamer
and thank you both very much for your interpretation! I am always very interested in hearing them

selling art is a curse?

find ten differences ?

Hey guys, I started drawing another dog and i have named him Franklin Roosevelt, The name just popped into my head & i thought it was good, so i will look forward to painting that next Tuesday, the parrots are still taped on the board but i am not liking drawing birds for some reason.

Looking forward to seeing it.

Bury a friend (2025), a quick watercolour practise.
I am trying to improve my watercolour technique. I am ok happy with it now, but there is much to learn still.

what I am not happy is my lack of ability to copy or draw straight from a model picture. like portraits, it is very hard for me. to make a exact copy or copy person’s facial features to paper. I struggle with it very much. I feel sad that my ability to draw is so poor.

I would love to get tips or see some how-to videos, of how to copy/duplicate a person’s features to paper. my imagination is too wild, it always comes to mess my attempts to copy. it always looks like my art and I do not like it. my style is too… me!

I know drawing is a skill that can be learned, that is why I really need help. I want to improve and maybe be able to do realistic portraits of people and animals, without my own imagination coming to ruin everything. I need help.

I used a picture from the internet as a reference, I want to try doing it blind as well, (without the picture) hopefully In time I will get better, also from different angles. I think I am starting to see a style I am happy with but it may take time to develop as an artist.

I think you’re drawing is improving and i really like your art! What helped me the most is an art teacher told me to look at the subject more than my paper. Keep practising and i will too! We can improve! Practise makes perfect!
