Yes, I think it should be close to her crib. Babies like to look at things to practice and stregnthen their eyes and vision
Did you know new borns only have fuzzy vision? It gets better and visual accuity developes as they get older.
This is why they like bright colors like pink, red, yellow.

@macy I didn’t know that, but it makes sense. I might practice a few more until I get it perfect and then see if her mom wants it in the nursery. Or she can just put it in keepsakes box like I have for all her baby stuff. My daughter loves going through all her childhood keepsakes including crafts from my mom.

It has her name on it. My brother wrote my name in a tree I used to climb. Because of that I already knew how to draw my name in kindergarden. Nothing else though.
