Are you on Haldol? How long have you been on it? Do you have irreversible tardive diskinesia? How long were you on Haldol before it happened?
I’m on 75 mg haldol. The shot. I’ve been on it for years. I don’t have td. I also take 2 mg sometimes when I need to.

Im on haldol, in varying doses (0.5 to 5mg, now 1mg), for years. No TD.

I’m on Risperdal Consta, Geodon and Seroquel and I have a little bit of T.D. I don’t know if it is reversible or not. I’m taking Cogentin for it. It helps quite a bit but not totally.

Are you afraid of it being permanent?
I take 30 mg of Haldol at bedtime. The only TD-like side effect I get is drooling throughout the day, but nothing overly major. I don’t think that’s TD though. Its been happening for like two years and I keep forgetting to mention it to my pdoc.

On 1 mg Haldol for 40 years. No TD.

Thanks everyone. I’m worried I’ll get TD from it. The 2 FDA approved meds that treat TD are over $5000/ month!!!

Cogentin treats Akithisia etc but not the permanent tardive dyskinesia. According to WebMD only 2 drugs are approved for TD specifically.
