Yes, it is interesting. And it’s those “few bucks here and there” that can really add up if you are not careful. Once you start keeping track of where your money goes it will become a habit and become second nature. Saving every receipt is not hard. Just throw them all in a basket or a drawer and at the end of each month, go through them in one sitting and copy every amount, and what item or items you purchased off of them. If you save receipts you don’t have to drag out the binder and write down every little thing. It is right on the receipts.
