Does it really say much if a person listens to classical than something like rap or death metal?
It’s all a matter of opinion. The negative things people say about rap today, for example, were similar to things people said about rock music many years ago. Me, I like classic rock especially THE WHO.
I am death…
Lol I listen to a lot of punk rock now and I find that it’s starting to give me the “who gives a ■■■■” attitude when it comes to people judging me for superficial and other certain reasons. I’m not just limited to listening to just only punk though and I don’t think someone “is” what they listen to. Many people like a wide span of different music.
I don’t think so, I have such a wide variety of music I listen too on my iPod alone you could go from Britney Spears to Marilyn Manson from Eminem to the Beatles, from R.E.M. to Peter, Paul and Mary, from Shania Twain to Hans Zimmer…I also have a large collection of dark Ambient music that I use to help me focus. All that matters is that you like the music you listen too…
Right now I’m not even listening to “Music” more so than ambient back round noise from a website called mynoise.net. They have free sounds or you can make a small donation of $5 USD and listen to all the stations and each station has a set of 10 sliders of various noises you can adjust to the sounds you want to hear and even turn off the ones you don’t. I just found the site today. If you need background noise I’d check it out. Sorry if I sound like I’m selling I’m not…I don’t have any affiliation with the site. I just really like it.
Yes. It says you like classical music. But yeah, peer pressure lasts a lifetime. People you know may laugh at you, but they may not. I listen to what I want; classical, classic rock, Frank Sinatra. I even listen to Christmas Carols in summer.
I listen to the Ramones and Green Day. Bad Religion is good too.
@crsaen I listen to death metal and some extreme forms of metal and ive been told im a gentle soul.
I think it could definitely have an influence on your personality. If you are being fed a certain mentality, than your mentality will be similarly to that mentality.
Me i like hip-hop, classic rock and 80’s pop music…and jazz too and old r&b…so I’m naturally a very eclectic person. I try to take the best things I learn from each genre and disregard the bad.
Hey I listen to the Ramon’s to Greenday to Classicacal to everything in between. I can remember a point in my early 20’s when music came up and I said I’ve moslty been listeninging to Chisckovsky these day’s…and it was like"Jesus dude!" I don’t know how bout anywhere here ahnd inbetween?
I have an eclectic taste in music that if I’m sure you’d ask the american secret police they’d say was some psyochological bukllshit or 'nother…just what I grew up listening to + what tended to stick is what.
I’m wearing a ramones shirt right now.
The things we choose to put in our [emotive/cognitive] environment do shape our psyche. We are influenced and taught by the stimuli to which we are exposed. When we choose well, the results will cause us to achieve great things.
I listen to a lot of psychedelic music, just like tame impala and classic rock is also my favorite, pink Floyd is my god band.
I like lots of punk too. Especially the British and U.S. stuff from the 80’s and 70’s.
