I´m not much of a runner, but 10 years ago I enjoyed it.
I got into it because a friend told me “start very slow, as slow as it´s completely comfortable. At walking rhythm, but don´t walk, move like you are running” and I was instantly able to run for a long period of time. Increasing speed to actually running was a matter of, maybe 2 weeks?..
I used to be a runner years ago. My blood pressure was amazing, low resting heart rate and I weighed way less then I do right now. I think im going to buy a treadmil when winter comes.
Not a runner but a walker. Over the years I probably did about 5000 km in walking. I got robbed one morning walking and then I stopped. I would like to start back walking but I would have to save up to buy a sneakers and track pants.
I was a runner for many years.

I did crosscountry in middle school and track and field in high school.
i run 5k or for 30mins at the gym but it puts a lot of strain on my tendons and ligaments around my knees and is sore for a few days.
I did track in sixth grade @cdwithdcs.

I was on the track team in high school for a while.
I was a very fast runner in my day.
Today I can hardly walk.

I’m too overweight to run but I used to love running. Hurts my knees. But in about 25 pounds from now (hopefully 2 months), I’ll be able to run again. I never lifted weights but I always did jog.
Wow it must be nice to have been fast @Wave. I think I did a six minute mile in ninth grade.

We didn’t have track and field at my middle school.
Which events did you do? I did some running, but mostly hurdles, high jump, and tiple jump.
I remember running and doing sit ups at a track event.
I run everyday if the weather is good. I only recently started back at it so doing 1km jogs around the block. I could go further but I’ve upped the pace a bit to push myself. It’s a work in progress for sure.
