Are sexual abuse victims being diagnosed with a mental disorder they don't have?

I met a woman, roomed with her, when in patient

we kept in touch for awhile, I just was a good ear for her

told me she was abused as a child, not sure her diagnosis

but the judge didn’t want to grant her disability payments

but reluctantly did it. Her main problem is she’s an alcoholic.
