Are huge genetic databases leaving marginalized people out of their data?

Coming from a person with a rare genetic disorder, leaving some racial groups out can make the biobank program very disadvantaged. Their genetic data can be missed and can mess up the program. Also huge genetic databases mean more code of DNA to crack! That’s really complicated to unravel!

The solution is simple. Stratified sampling.
Also, I’m sure everyone is trying to get a balanced sample. If we can find ways to recruit more from people with characteristics that are undersampled, lots of people would be stoked about that.

What would you say would be good ways of doing that?

I have no idea.

That’s OK. I just thought you might do .
