Are electric cars any good?

Anybody own one or have any experience related to them?

I have questions about their power. I’ve seen commercials for electric trucks and I wonder if they would have the hauling power that many people that buy trucks buy them for.

Any opinions on electric cars, their ranges, power and other capabilities?

I’m reading that heavy hauling can drastically cut their range.

Tesla has up to 1021hp. Its almost double the hp of electric trucks. Its odd.

Heavy hauling cuts range about 30% on combustion vehicles. The same cuts range about 50% on electric vehicles. This assumes that it’s a pleasant time of year. an eTruck trying to run heaters and window defoggers during a typical Canadian cold snap will probably pull something ten blocks before needing a charge. The biggest limitation at this time is battery tech.
