Anyone tried dopamine ADHD meds for sz?

Did they give you energy or motivation and less negative symptoms? I am talking about Adderall and Ritalin

Thank god I’ve never been on adderal Ritalin was a truly dangerous nightmare if it helps someone great but I doubt it helps anyone based on what I’ve seen

I think adhd and sz negative/cognitive symptoms are the same and negative symptoms are just extreme adhd and low dopamine

I was always angry to the point of rage I got into over 100 fist fights begged the doctor to try me on something else but he was a jerk and didn’t give a flying flip about me I’ve not fist fought since getting off of it and I’ve never experienced as much rage at all

I have a bipolar and adhd friend, he takes only ritalin now but he was on Latuda before for bipolar and he said it made his adhd worse and he lost all his energy on it, he was bed ridden. Now only on ritalin he has a full time job and his own appartment living with his gf. @AwesomeFisherman

Yes i think dopamine makes me rage too, when i was on ldopa i had mean thoughts about insulting others in my mind and destroying stuff

As long as it helps people im all for it but there ain’t a way I’ll ever take it again you know how some drugs make people jerks but they feel good well that’s not the case for me when I used to be on Ritalin I was a unhappy monster begged and begged and begged to change meds but that peice of s*it doctor didn’t care

Sorry I get worked up and hate Ritalin with a passion when I talk about the fake adhd I get mad most of the time

Were you diagnosed with sza back then? Most drs won’t prescribe dopamine stimulants for schiziphrenics as it will make symptoms worse

I probably am gonna piss people off but my brother took it and he didn’t fight but all he did all day was cry did the doctor care nope my sister had the same reaction as me did the doctor care about any of us OF COURSE NOT HES A JERK

I have been continuing low dose mucuna, 2 caps daily. It helps my mood quite a bit. I’m avoiding higher doses as it’s bound to go wrong, but this low dose seems to make my life a little better. No adverse effects after 1 week or so, I’m monitoring myself closely though.

Good its working for you. For me i had to take big doses to see effects but then i started hearing voices

Thanks. Yeah, if I start feeling relapse signs I’m ditching it. Won’t really know if I’m in the clear before taking it a month I’d say.

I don’t think you will relapse with 2 pills. I was taking 10 pills daily lol

As soon as the mods see what I said I’m gonna get serious consequences I’m sorry I just haven’t seen a case where the meds helped @Bowens @Ninjastar @Moonbeam you might as well look at the posts look up I’m sorry if you wanna give me some sorta punishment I’ll be ok with it I had a seriously bad reaction to Ritalin and I said stuff I should’ve not said

Its fine to share your experience. But I still think that ADHD exists, although might be overdiagnosed and similar to sz negative and cognitive symptoms. Both sz and adhd cause cognitive dysfunction like low concentration and I wonder how drs differentiate them

Idk about that because I was very rude however unless you have walked a mile in my shoes gotten into fist fights had the same homicidal feelings and felt terrible than you don’t understand at all whatsoever
