Anyone tried betel nuts?

I was browsing the web looking for a m1 and m4 natural agonist and came across betel nut chewing, there is alil research done that it helps with schizophrenia. It is widely used in asia so im wondering has anyone tried it?

I heard an oncologist speak at my job about head and neck cancers and chewing betel nuts can cause oral cancer. I didn’t see that mentioned in the link but it’s something to keep in mind if you decide to try that.

Naw i dont want to get high, but i thought someone on the forum might use it since its used by millions of people. Mainly interested if they noticed any less symptoms.

I understand that schizophrenics use more beetle nuts than other folks. Sort of like tobacco, I imagine.

Heard it’s terrible for you. At least you can get your nicotine from gum or lozenges if you want to be healthier.

Thats why i was looking up natural ones in the first place, that drug is like 6 or more years away if all goes well with trials before release.

I’ve tried it, it’s popular in India. It gives you a little mental exhilaration, kind of like a cup of coffee. That’s why it’s addictive.
