Anyone purchased Christmas gifts already?

I had a discussion with Joker yesterday that got me in the mood to do some Christmas shopping. I know it’s a bit early but I was in the mood.

I got these light up hummingbird chimes and a neck and back massager for my mom and I got my dad a Dewalt drill set.

Anyone else got a head start on Christmas?

Yup! I bought an OLED Nintendo Switch for my nephew. I’ve been tempted to give it to him before Christmas. Darn Santa Claus is going to get all the credit.:upside_down_face:

Haha, yeah, I know. Waiting 2 months is gonna be the worst.

I really wanted to score some cool uncle points with him. I’ve been thinking of telling him Santa told me he was a good boy so I got it for him. Maybe something along the lines of that.

Sounds like a fine idea to me. Let Santa get him the underwear and socks :stuck_out_tongue: . lol

Haven’t given it one thought. I will probably skip it. Covid

I don’t really need anything. I mean if I had money I would get a new monitor 4K 165Hz HDR, my current one is 4K 60Hz HDR. But it costs 1200$+15% tax.

Yeah, I don’t really need anything for Christmas myself either. I’m probably just going to ask for clothes if I am asked what I want.

Usually I get See’s Candies for my immediate relatives for Christmas. I usually wait until December so they don’t melt in California weather.

I bought my aunts some glitter and my mum some arty widgets, and my niece and nephew some fidget toys.

Yes I’ve bought loads of presents already

It would be impossible to spread the cost any other way

I’m thinking of buying Nintendo switch 2019 version. I’m going to play some games and then give it to my little brother. What I’m wondering is the OLED version worth the extra cost? I watched some videos on YouTube comparing the two and I couldn’t see a difference.

The only difference is in the handheld mode. The OLED screen has more vibrant colors and has a slightly larger screen than the older version. Other than that there is not much difference. They both are able to play the same games. The only reason I upgraded was because my old one broke. The older version is still a solid purchase.

So far just slippers for my girls. Not spending much this year. $40-50 per kid plus something for my parents and my ex husband.

Ok, thanks. I’m buying the old version. The OLED version costs much more over here. With those prices I’d rather buy an Xbox or PS5.

I have a PS5 and I find myself playing the switch more often. It really is a great system. Docked mode is nice and handheld mode is really cool to have. There are quite a few entertaining games for that system. The PS5 is nice too but the Switch is probably my favorite console right now.

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm

Well it depends on how much money I have nearer to Christmas

Or

If I’m in the mood to paint Xmas presents.

Defo not thinking much about Xmas atm, and to the least, Xmas prezzies

I like the old school games on switch. Don’t get me wrong, I still like PS5 games. But being able to play 2d games on a hand held device, not much can beat that.
