I think if you do turbo tax online its free but I am not 100 precent sure.

i get my taxes done for free by a community center that provides help for people on a low income. They help with utilities and house repairs too.

Turbo Tax is free and easy. I’ve used it for seven years. There sales practices were a little deceptive when I first started using them, I ended up paying for services I didn’t need but it’s gone smoothly the last few years.

umm, Turbo Tax online.
When I’ve done jobs the last few years,
I claim one, and do low income jobs,
so I don’t even file, since they really don’t take anything out.
but if you have kids, or I think even the elderly
can get the Low Income Tax Credit.

I used to pay $350 for a tax attorney. even last year because it was too complicated. But I don’t want to spend any money on the little SSDI income.

you don’t even have to claim that,
you don’t get anything in return anyway.

I’ve never filed taxes. When I worked I made under the limit for filing. I never made much and it all went to eating out with my girlfriend, lol.
Over here on the pension you don’t have to pay taxes. It’s not taxable income. It’s really not a lot in the scheme of things.
Did you guys get stimulus checks? Do they tax that?
@rogueone Did other countries (you’re in Australia right?) give out stimulus money?

Yeah we got stimulus but it’s still not enough income to put you over the limits of taxable income. It’s something like 8-10k that isn’t taxed so the stimulus isn’t enough. We are soon to get $250 as a payment for a cost of living allowance…We are soon to have a federal election so the Party in charge is handing out some dollars to win some votes…
