Anyone have any experience with Italy?

I’m trying to figure out the best way to get from Milan to Sirmone for my friend’s wedding this summer. It looks like there are three separate trains to take. My friend says I should book my ticket in advance, but I’m not sure how to do that. Any help would be appreciated. I need to take the XP2, the RE_6, and the LN026. I’m not sure which of these require advance tickets and which ones don’t.

Travel by Rail

From the internet:

The nearest railway stations to Sirmione are at Peschiera (www.peschieraitaly.com) - 11km - or at Desenzano (www.desenzanogarda.com) - 10km. From either train station, local buses or a short taxi ride are necessary to get to Sirmione

Try

It looks like you can get a direct train to both locations. You can change your currency on the top right of the website.
