I have one and it sits in a glass with water and rocks. I’m supposed to put 1 drop of plant food in it a day. I just had to buy more plant food recently. I bought it in bulk. I got 5 containers of liquid plant food. It’s hard to put just one drop in. Sometimes I feel like I put a lot more than than that.
We have a whole forest nearby of them. And I don’t live in Asia
I got one from ikea one time.
In my local area there is a lots of bamboo plants.
How long did it live @anon35166066?
I forgot to put plant food in it and it died. But if you look after it I reckon it could survive for years. I think bamboo is pretty tough
Here’s the forest of them. They’ve been there since I was five at least because my sister told me there was only seven locations on earth with bamboo plants/trees and they were worth millions of dollars. And I believed her
That’s awesome @Jonnybegood
Edinburgh zoo has a panda which eats special bamboo grown in Holland.
Panda’s must have a strong jaw. That’s all they eat right?
Yeah I think so. But a certain kind only I think. It was a big deal over here getting a panda from China. Made the headline news. Was really good for maintaining good relations between Britain and China.
I used to own a small bamboo plant similar to the one in photo.
It lasted a couple of years.
Bamboo is a nice plant.
I wouldn’t want to be a panda, tho. Those creatures have to eat all day long, that would get tiring I imagine.
Glad I’m an ape and can digest higher calorie food for greater effciciency.
Wood in your digestive system doesn’t seem pleasant.
Apparently, Pandas have some serious probiotics going on.
haha that’s great. 12 kg of wood a day. Wow.
