Anyone experience chronic de ja vu ? It’s so bad it’s making me sick!
Many a time I think someone said Sagar and I turn around and there is no one…
Years ago I saw a tree and thought the tree is growing in between the wall and when I took a closer look
it’s not the case.
All my childhood every street in any city made me think I think I’ve seen this somewhere…
I’m not sure if any of these illusions have anything to do with dejavu but I had my dejavu situations…
I remember having them but don’t what they were.
Thanks.
Edit: don’t remember what they were
The best explanation I have heard for this is that it’s a memory processing problem - things get immediately filed in longterm memory rather than shortterm memory, and so when your brain processes what’s happening, it has it tagged as something that happened in the past as well as something happening right now.
I sometimes have that - I had an upsetting instance about a week ago - but usually I have something almost the opposite. Things that happened in the past seem to get stuck in my short term memory, so I keep thinking that I just heard a knock on the door, just heard the phone ring, just heard someone say something when it happened an hour ago or so. I don’t hear it happening again, I always think that I just heard it.
I’ve had a few experiences where I just “knew” the entire incident, including all what was said verbatim (word for word).
It wasn’t a situation done prior, but completely and uncharacteristically (of me) new.
Almost as if I had known the consequences of saying the wrong thing before, so it was pre-rehearsed, and done perfectly this time to save my stupid behind.
I just tell myself i really dont give a ■■■■ about all the myths surround de ja vu, it does have physical and emotional effect on me when it happens, but i try to forget it like i try to forget bad dreams when i wake up
