So years ago I was diagnosed with type 2 bipolar symptoms. I think I still could be perhaps. I do have a lot more withdrawn depressive days even when nonsystematic sz symptoms. I’ve never had mania the Dr back then said you can be bipolar without mania.
Or maybe I’m a little more withdrawn because of sz?
I wonder what’s the difference between type 1 and type 2 bipolar ?
I read that type 1 had more mania whereas type 2 is more mood swings and depression.
Type 1 has mania.
Type 2 has hypomania
I have mild mania at times. I amuse myself without good reason.
Maybe it’s not mania.
I’ve had a pdoc claim if you’ve had mania once in your life then you are manic depressive.
I don’t cry a lot or anything. I just wanna be left alone as I feel so tired I lay around a lot. I do things as I’m able.
I am sad a lot that life gave me a crappy deck of cards to work with though.

Im bipolar 1 with psychosis. Having bit of a depressive episode this week unfortanately.
I think bipolar II you get hypomania but can still have severe depressions.
Hypomania can really mess up your life too though.
Mania in bipolar 1 is just more extreme

Yes with bipolar 1 the highs can be extreme, mania
With bipolar 2 you can become hypomanic and depressive episodes are quite common with type 2
You can experience depression as well with type 1
I have the bipolar type II type of sza. I don’t get mania but only hypomania and lots of depressive episodes
me, i take depakote for it. might actually turn out to be seizures however instead. what ever it is the racing thoughts are helped tremendously by AED drugs
One doc gave me bp 1, and one gave me bp 2. If you see enough people, you will eventually get both.
Hypomania is fun and feels good, but mania is pretty destructive. I sleep a lot when going through a depressive state.
What were your ‘hypomanic’ symptoms?
