My concern is just the blood tests, which means i cannot go overseas for longer periods of time.

They keep you on it for good if it does you any good. No reason why you can’t get blood test overseas. If you pay for them.

I’ve been taken Clozapine for years. So far it’s the only AP that has taken away my voices for a little bit of time. Right now I get a blood test every month. It’s not so bad. I usually ask them to take the blood from the back of my left hand because the skin under my elbows is very sensitive.
I’m not sure if it’s possible to get Clozapine overseas. My brother said he can get me a job teaching English in China. However, I’m not sure if I can get my Clozapine over there so I’m not sure if I can take the job. So I have the same problem.

@Aword Apparently its gold standards, but the downside is blood tests.
On it since 4 months and still delusional
I’ve been on it a few years but lately I’ve been having suspected heart issues. If this turns out to be the case they will gradually stop me from taking it.

I have been on clozapine for about 3 years, my doctor says I have to be on it for life. The good news is that it has helped me alot and hase kept me out of the hospital. I have to have monthly blood tests but it’s not that bad of an inconvenience.

It hasn’t been helping me too much with my delusions. I mostly take it because it helps with the voices. The voices are less loud/angry when I take Clozapine.
Clozapine is known as sort of a last effort med. Due to the wide range of side effects it can cause it is usually prescribed only after several other atypicals have been tried and proven ineffective. However it is supposed to be one of the most effective meds for psychosis out there so yeah they’ll probably want to keep you on it so long as it works. (Which it does for the grand majority)
