Anyone also have weird phobias?

I have casadastraphobia, it’s the fear of looking up at the sky because I feel like I’ll get sucked into the sky. Super irrational but I panic every time I try

@Grookey,

I used to have that same fear when I was a kid until about 14.

I’d have nightmares about it.

Like uncontrollably being able to fly and going to far up.

It was scary.

Now I’m deathly afraid of water.

I once had a dream where I couldn’t stop from floating

It’s not that weird but when I’m in a plane I’m half the time convinced it will crash.

Luckily my mind has no power.

I had nightmares of it when I was a kid too. I had this recurring nightmare that I’d be in the car with my family and sudden gravity would reverse. I don’t get nightmares about it anymore but I just looked up at the bus stop sign and panicked lol

Did you grow up in a religious household?

I always attributed my fear of being sucked into the sky to my mother’s story of “the rapture”.

Terrified me.

Weird way to go about harvesting souls is all I’m saying.

Pharmacophobia.
Well, not fear of meds per se.
Just fear of swallowing pills.
Therefore I always chew them.
Some are really yuck.

What do you do with pills you can’t crush like Invega?

My sister has the same thing.

She crushes them up and puts them in applesauce.

Has since she was a kid.

She’s 34.

I think it’s because she loved Elvis so much when she was a child,

My uncle told her at a family function one year that Elvis died on the toilet of “too many pills”.

She misunderstood being a child and developed a fear.

Some of the meds I’ve taken in the past have corroded my teeth. Even a dentist said I should consider applying fake enamel or smth like that.

No idea what Invega looks (tastes) like. :face_with_open_eyes_and_hand_over_mouth:
Luckily, abilify is easy to chew, and prozac is orally dispersable.

Not super religious no, but my parents were lazy Christian’s and tried to push that on me a bit. I think my phobia started when this older kid tripped me and held me upside down by my feet, I was probably 5 and very terrified
