I think that in schizophrenia,
the “environmentally caused” schizophrenia cases are in many cases milder than “genetically caused” ones.
I read it somewhere.

@Chess24 I would agree with that but would love to see a comparative study.

I am sedated by the medication, but often play a cognitive game on the tv that toys with words and numbers called countdown and often win against the competitors; so although I am not quite as sharp as I was I am still cognitively efficient.

I am definitely a case where the “environment caused” my sz with no history of sz anywhere in my family, but a victim of severe child abuse and bullying throughout my childhood.

I was severely bullied verbally and physically as a kid by other school kids. I have also been jumped 3 times including a guy putting a knife to my throat. All of those were adult males.

The first time, I was 12 yrs old and was jumped by a grown man for a purse.

The second time, I was 14 yrs old. I was walking with a male friend. Three guys, all adults, started following us. We tried to make accross a field to the grocery store, but didnt make it. One hit him in the neck with a pole. The other guy slide round behind him. The third with a knife grbbed me while i was trying to guard my friends back. I was guarding his back because the guy with a knife looked like he already had it in his head to sneak up and stab him.

The third time, i was a young adult. about 22 yrs. I was working delivering pizzas. This guy came around side a building and it was on. We rolled around on the ground. He had already ripped my pocket where he knew i had 20 bucks of change and it was laying on the ground. The money was not good enough for him??? He ended up on top and tried to punch me in the face. I blocked with my arm and took my dog’s time tested advise. (I lunged my head forward and bit him in the face.) My teeth landed on his eyebrow and tore. I think he left because he was blinded by the blood.

No. I dont feel recovered. All that was 20+ yrs ago. I must take the bus and train this morning cause i cant get to my car. I am nervous thinking about it. I am shaking typing this.
