Which antipsychotics improve cognitive impairment (abstract thinking, …) best? The new ones are Cariprazine (Vraylar/Reagila) and Lumateperone. What about glutamate modulators?
Is it true that cognitive improvements by Cariprazine show up only after > 13 weeks?
In my first episode, my cognition was completely restored by Olanzapine, but at the moment (second episode) it does not improve further.
Antipsychotics are not cognitive enhancers, however, some cause little or no cognitive impairment, such as Abilify and Rexulti.
Shouldn’t Cariprazine improve cognition?

It probably does in your case.
One of my pdoc once told me to fix cognitive problems, u just increase the antipsychotic dose. But that also means side effects will show up.
