I’ve had this since forever and there was a time when I even thought it was a symptom of my illness, but then it took trial and error with changing and stopping antipsychotics which made me realize it was them which caused this awful symptom. Any antipsychotics I’ve tried – with the exception of haloperidol, to a bigger extent – had this side effect and the funny thing is it’s not mentioned anywhere in the instruction for these meds. This causes a significant degree of impairment as you realize you cannot talk properly as you forget half the words you were supposed to say. Conversely, I cannot stay off meds as I become emotionally blunt and asocial. Am I unlucky? Does anyone else experience this?
