It was a tough one. When she started drilling it hurt bad. She had to shoot me up with several more shots of novacaine and shot something directly into the tooth itself to numb it. Then when I went to pay, instead of charging me $2000 they only charged me $1500. She said she didn’t want to charge me for the filling but I strongly suspect they knocked $500 off the price because she hurt me so bad.

I used to mistreat my teeth and it got bad. I had a lot of caries and I had one teeth shatter in my mouth when I was eating rye bread. I had to go through one root canal and one tooth was removed. Now I take care of my teeth. I use floss every night and brush teeth twice a day. I had fear of dentist thanks to horrible experiences in childhood but I told this to my dentist and she understood.
My dad once fell asleep at dentist and he never wanted any numbing shots. He was a weird man though…

I’m going to need extensive dental work before too long. For a while I was drinking a lot of sugary drinks mixed with cranberry juice. It tasted delicious, but I heard that juice leaches minerals out of your teeth, making them more likely to crumble when dental work is being done on them. I got some toothpaste that is supposed to repair weakened enamel. I hope it works.

That is weird that your tooth hurt because I thought they only do a root canal when a tooth has died. When I made a face during a root canal, the dentist asked why because the tooth was dead. I didn’t feel anything, just didn’t like it so I made a face.
