We found a great place,
Decent location,
Nice house,
Perfect size backyard.
Even has a two car garage for my husband’s pool table and mancave.
However, it’s right next door to the landlord.
We’re good tenants, don’t get me wrong,
But that’s a little weird right?
They’re about our age and seem pretty cool,
Still, I don’t know.

To me it would be awkward
it’s just to ask, does it have drafty stairway in this new place.

Most places I lived before buying were places the landlord either lived in the neighborhood, or lived in another part of the same building. I never had a problem, but my landlords were also pretty chill.
I would have a chat with them and kind of try to get out of them what they expect of you, especially if you like to play music and/or have parties. Other than that I can’t see a potential problem.
