My wife smoked. It no doubt contributed to her asthma/bad breathing, high blood pressure and strokes that lead to vascular dementia and death from peripheral neuropathy complications. It shortened her life by at least 10 years.
I think its 1000ftâŚ
The way that I see it non smokers should stand 1000 ft away FROM ME!!!
And if you donât? Then you are taking your your life in your own handsâŚIn more ways than you know.
I know dude !!! Look it up man anchorage ak.
I hate tobacco and cigarettes and find them disgusting. but i never tell the smokers to go away or quit it infact i had conversations with many people who were smoking near me and i wasnt disturbed. sometimes if im in the mood i might even smoke a cig with them too just for a sense of company.
See the end of my reply to Treebeard. Why should people have to move because youâre the person with the addiction . Thatâs a rather selfish attitude.
It would seem he is violating the non-aggression principle, a principle believed by some Libertarians. It could be viewed as extreme, but is also useful for arguments against pollution. A single molecule of carbon dioxide could be viewed as a violation of the non-aggression principle. It would be viewed as aggressive and possibly assault.
Well I think that itâs a pretty presumptuous attitude of those that donât CHOOSE to smoke, this is a moot point because we will never convince each other of the âright or wrongâ of tobacco.
So im done with this thread. Have a great day!
If itâs not possible then the smoker is probably smoking somewhere they shouldnât. I think it is important to be mindful of where you smoke, because some people have asthma or anxiety, but itâs also important to accept that other people can be very annoying and thatâs often something you just have to deal with.
This is not selfish. People have to deal with their own issues. Thatâs all Iâm saying.
You shouldnât be worried about second-hand smoke outside when you can just walk right by the person whoâs smoking and stand somewhere else. This is not an issue. Youâre not going to get cancer from this.
I am a ex-smoker. 23years reformed. Smoke now makes me sick. I think that smokers should be respectful, I was when I was one. No need for people to breathe toxins.
I have to go certain places. I should have a right to go to those places without having to inhale someone elses smoke. When it comes to smoking and it comes down to a choice between your rights and my rights, I choose my mine. You choose to smoke; live with that decision and donât drag me into your problems. When you smoke near people you are infringing on their rights to breathe clean air. If you are smoking at a bus stop and I need to catch a bus, how can I walk on by? Donât make me uncomfortable and sick because you CHOSE a bad habit. Just because you CHOSE a bad habit shouldnât mean you can infringe on my rights.
The people who go loco over smokers are the same ones who let their dogs crap all over the city without picking up after them.
So I just ignore them or tell them to âf offâ when they get in my face about smoking outside.
You smoke man? I would have never guessed
My one viceâŚ
Hah⌠I guess I have alcohol. I canât make you feel guilty. YET
Being an ex-smoker⌠and it was hard work to quitâŚ
When people smoke around me⌠I do craveâŚ
At bus stops⌠when an always non-smoker has a fit it does just piss the smoker offâŚ
But when I say "Oh man⌠I just quit smoking⌠that cig sure smells great⌠can I just breathe you in or maybe lick you⌠or just stand really close to you to enjoy⌠"
People tend to go away⌠they donât smoke around me⌠Itâs oddâŚ
Oh yeahâŚmy one vice aside from gamblingâŚdrinking and porn.
Hah you sinning mutha fuh
Yeah, nobodyâs perfect. I like to think Iâm a great Dad thoughâŚ
I had a craving yesterday. It was on the drive home after dinner and two beers. The smoke at the restaurant didnât make me crave⌠I think it was the realization I couldnât drink any more beer.
