I’m a pretty laidback person and usually my mood is positive, but when someone is disrespectful to me for no reason I get angry, and it can last for days.
Fortunately it doesen’t happen often, but when it does it really sucks. I just have to ride it out. I try some CBT tricks realizing it’s not my fault, and that the other person is having some sort of issue, it helps a little, but the anger lingers on.
I work in a busy shop and we get all sorts of people coming there. Thankfully the majority are nice people, but a few are not, and I just have to deal with that. It’s just life.
I guess it’s nothing compared with what for example a police officer or security has to deal with. Just have to try to put things in perspective.
