My daughter and her fiancé were telling that on Mackinaw Island that they were on, at the turn of the century, and even now
they forbid, mostly, from anyone having cars. I think that would make a great poem on the irony of it all, since Michigan (Detroit)
is the motor capital city of the world, and here nestled into the landscape is a place so near, yet so far from it.
