My mother and my aunt believed in toilet training babies. I think that is so cruel and have been told it can do real damage to the psyche. Baby can’t understand, let alone do it without pain.

The first time I went to the toilet on my own, I got up and then wiped myself on my mom’s dress. I don’t know what that was about.
Somebody once told me babies shouldn’t be attempted potty trained until they reach the point where they hide after filling their diaper
