An old friend jolting my memory

I’m told one must have a relationship with at least one friend from ones childhood. I’m in communication with my childhood neighbor and man we are good at correcting each other’s memories.!

How do you know who is correct?

It’s easy to recognize the truth once it’s pointed out by another, especially a trusted other.

Yeah but if you both trust each other, and you have conflicting memories, it’s a little confusing to say the least. Maybe I’m the only one with this problem, I don’t know

No, we didn’t have conflicting memories because memories got more accurate when reinforced by the other person. For example, forgetting a teacher’s name is soon recognized when reminded.
