Amisulpride is a really good AP

Since my diagnosis in 2015,
I’ve been on Abilify, Olanzapine, Rexulti and Amisulpride. I believe for my case, Amisulpride is a lifechanger. I no longer have these suicidal thoughts, and depression, and these meds just are wonderful. I’m on 400mg prescription (1/2 tablet in the day, 1 tablet at night) and my GPA in college is around 3.65-3.75.

I’m doing better in my university compared to even last time when I was not sick. I study more and enjoy talking to people in class. I even lead most of my group projects and provide the team good grades (myself included).

The meds cost about RM300 per month here, but I get them for free because I go to a Government Hospital. I’m just thankful that I do not have to financially burden myself anymore to get treated of my symptoms.

How has amisulpride been for you?

Meds are random. Others might have a worse or better experience than you with that med. They say Abilify is best but I had side effects on Abilify.

400mg works excellent for me, but I’m only on 150mg now because my previous pdoc said my prolactin is high so I’m trying other meds. But it seems amisulpride is still the best. It keeps me out of hospital - at least most of the time!

Glad to hear it’s working great for you.

Amisulpride by far is the most successful in treating my symptoms. But, I do agree that reaction to medications differ from person to person.

My pdoc doesn’t allow me to change meds even if I want to. He says that ‘its the best one’. To be honest, I don’t think he knows the upcoming or newer antipsychotics. So, I’m just gonna be happy with Amisulpride…!

I was on it for 7-8 years. Worked great for me. When my doc switched me to it from olanzapine I lost nearly 7kg of weight which I had gained with later.

I am on 400mg of Amisulpride. I take the whole dose at night when I go to sleep. It hasn’t eliminated my delusions and paranoia completely, but it has reduced my symptoms alot.

Thank you all for sharing your experiences. My mom is now swicthing from Olanzapine to Amisulpride after 2 suicide attempts this year… fingers crossed…

hey kata, i hope your mum feels better and pray no more attempts

I am on a low dose 200mg daily and i feel almost normal, i am a lot more anxious now but this is a separate issue.

non of the meds stopped my voices but amisulpride made me social and happy. i had very high prolactin on it

I don’t recall precisly how I felt on Solian(Amisulpride). But I remember that I got constipated and had no libido on it. It worked good for psychosis combined with Clopixol depot 400 mg every other week. I was on 1200 mg. 3 400 Mg pills
