While you get at least 650$ or 1000$ remember there is always mr who gets 175$ a month and everything is more expensive here in eastern europe than USA (yes even food)
I had to work for what I get. It isn’t free money. I started work young and worked as long as I possibly could. My disability is based on my past earnings and time spent working.
same for me. I have an ok disability because i worked a lot before i got sick.
I do not get disability so… and I live in the USA.
I didn’t have enough work credits by the time I was 22 (when I went into my first psychosis)
I worked until my early 40’s. Two jobs for many years.
What about someone who sick from young years?
Where you from?
Im from lithuania and electronics costs more than usa. Food also. The only exception may be cigarettes price
Pensions are super low in my country. 400$ a month for working from age 18 till 65 full time. There are a lot of elderly aged people living with 300$ a month and below just because they worked on minimum wage.
if only i would have joined the military and then got schizophrenia. i think the veterans make considerably more in disability than regular citizens, but not sure about that. i worked from the age of 15 to 28 either part time or full time. and also worked a couple years after being diagnosed. but then one day i decided i wanted to take a break from work and applied for disability and got approved.
Then I won’t tell you how much Canadian cheques are per month I definitely know that I’m lucky to be living here
i worked for fifteen years before i got disability. i only get 670 bucks after premiums are taken, and then i gotta pay another hundred bucks for the rest of my healthcare. so maybe 570. 7000 a year is helpful but it’s not that much money.
I worked since I was 13 and I was an architect…I still only clear about 13,5 thousand a year…not enough !!
