I don’t know, I would prefer a tablet with an OS that can do multiple things. Having something expensive that is limited to only reading documents just sounds inefficient.

Intellectuals such as psychiatrists, psychologists, managers, business executives, doctors, lawyers, writers, authors etc… need to focus on their task at hand without any interruptions. These people write down their thoughts from their respective profession on digital ink and have the option to share, organize & sort their notes. These tablets are targeted for a niche consumer market.

My former psychiatrist uses a Remarkable tablet to gather his thoughts & notes.

My wife uses her Remarkable a lot for written notes and she has it jury rigged to a bunch of AIs to organize stuff for her. Me, I look at photos and watch movies on my tablet. And I use it to write with a Bluetooth keyboard.

My medical provider asks permission to record the dr-patient conversation and then uses AI to identify and filter out the non-medically-relevant chit chat and then creates the writtenm edical record of the visit that gets posted to the patients medical record. This is a new approach they are piloting.
