Hey, Rogue, how about the Sex Pistols? I love their raw, kind of abrasive music. But you’re right, the Pixies DO sound like Nirvana.
You could add "Never Mind the Bollocks " to the cannon. Heard it when I was like 9 years old as a friend got it on tape. Funny stuff. Imagine ’ Friggin in the Riggin ’ to the mind of a 9 year old! I always loved punk and still do and worthwhile adding to the list!

Yeah cut my teeth on punk. Not such a fan of Suicidal tendancies but big fan of Husker Du, the Minutemen, that sort of punk although I’ve heard an aweful lot. I do have " Institutionalised " on my iphone for walks around the block…classic stuff!
I played that song for my social worker after I got out of psych lockup…she did NOT appreciate it, but I laughed my butt off!

I love the Pixies. I saw them at Reading Festiival 1990, along with Nick Cave too. Classic times, cult music. Oh to be young again.
