Is it normally worse in an uncomfortable situation
?
On the way home im feeling better
Today was crazy though
All day
Feel of things to come
Mine was constant.
Mine was constant until I took enough Cogentin
I found strong coffee/energy drinks could make it worse temporarily
Never used to have it,but now on Risperdal just keep jumping from one leg to another.
You need to accept when the med does this to you, it’s probably best to get your doctor to come up with the next med to try.
Sorry, but from my experience that’s what happens when a med that worked stabs you in the back.
yes - i have had that occasionsally for years on clopixol…
i don’t really think about it much i am sure i do it a lot still without thinking
Cogentin
not tried it
is it a Benzodiazepine?
No. It’s an anti Parkinson disease medicine
I didn’t think this yet but yes if it is going to be like today a lot i will have to change
i was clearing a very dusty paint filled garage into a skip today with relatives
it could be dust and fumes and emotions
i take procyclidine
that must be another one
We don’t have any more anti parkinson’s meds, just biperiden /Mendilex,and Artane is scheduled as A class drug, like heroin. It must be because people used to abuse it.Procyciclidin is not available.
I take procyclidine and pregabalin for akathisia
And how it works for you?Pregabalin mostly? Also I don’t want to tell my pdoc about it because she may lower the dose, which is already low for me (4 mg’s).
I hope you do not have it, as it’s horrible. But if you do you need to keep an eye on it, as it can cause compliance issues.
My akathisia is mostly in the legs. Yes pregabalin really helps for that (gabapentin does as well)
artane is like cogentin @anon70049667 for the same thing. my reatlessness in legs too. not always bad though, but kinda constant. would cogentin work for this? i took it with prolixin. i’m using risperidone too.
I also have cramps in one leg in the morning,so I take extra magnesium.Artane I can hardly get.It goes in narcotic group. We don’t have Cogentin…
I’m starting to think this fear feeling I have with sz is instead because of akathisia. The last time I went to Crisis Care it wasn’t for psychosis, it was for akathisia. I was in tears when we were in the bus outside of the convenience store (it was where we took our day trip) because I had to walk. I got out of the shuttle and walked around the parking lot trying to stop crying. They weaned me off seroquel and the akathisia began to go away.
Got out, got on another AP, akathisia started all over again.
