Affirmations?

Has anyone felt that using affirmations helped them? I think someone said they told themselves “I can handle this.” Do you think this kind of self-talk helps or is that just a delusion?

It certainly works for me. Although mine would be more like " You MUST handle that " yeah those are subliminal messages with almost like placebo effect.
sometimes,it is helpul just to focus on something positive, a goal, a wish or a happy place.

I have that talk with the man in the mirror…

I can do this… it’s not as bad as I’m imagining it to be.

Keep calm and don’t start to panic until you know what is going on

There are times I just have to talk myself down and be calm.
