I never took philosophy. I opted for psychology and sociology instead.

My friend used to quote to me all the time, then he said something like “superior” men shouldn’t have to be held to the same laws as your “common” man. That’s enough to make me despise him right off the Hop.
Philosophy is like the art of thinking.
If you know how to think well, no one can pull the wool over your eyes and kick you in the shins!
Maybe people with exceptional abilities should be accomodated, but we should all drive the same speed limit.
Unless you’re in Texas instead of New Jersey. Then you can generally go faster.

the pre-Socratic philosophy.
I also like Diogenes from the Cynics.
