How to install an ethernet cable from floor 0 to floor 2? I have to drill the wall and floors but I don’t want to hit a water pipe or an electric cable or something essential. I know there is metal detectors but do they detect everything and how to use them?

Yeah you might drill into something you shouldn’t got be careful of other wires or metal ducting.

Buying a house.
I’ve rented always, and now I’m 40 and my dad says most mortgages are 25 years, and that takes me to 65, which is retirement…. But I hate how high house prices are and… eurgh. I don’t like the idea of settling down in one place.
So i guess my question is, if I carry on renting, and retire without a pension, am I totally ■■■■■■, or will the UK socialist state, somehow support me? Or should I wise up, save up, and buy a house?

I have zero idea in the UK. My personal plan is to take over my parents house after they are gone. I am saving money so that I can afford to do this when the time comes. There are benefits and drawbacks to both owning a house and renting. Personally, I prefer owning. I have owned two houses and rented one apartment in my life. I live with my parents since recovering from psychosis a few years back. I pay rent , cover the cost of my mom and my cigarettes(I am currently in the process of quitting), buy some groceries and take out food, and pay all my own bills. This arrangement allows me to save for the future.

How do you set up to pay bills on the computer? Do you have to set it up at the bank?
Yes on your bank website, you should create a username and password. You can also pay your credit cards that way.
I don’t remember if I created my account online or if it was given to me by my bank, it was long time ago.
