Accepting the residual symptoms

Until now I had been trying to eliminate my residual unwanted thoughts using CBT, but yesterday and today I decided to just accept that I’m going to have them and not fo fight them at all. It had become exhausting trying to beat them down all day long, but just accepting them has reduced my level of distress a great deal.

Yes, it is easier to deal with symptoms and experiences if you accept them fully. Accepting, indeed embracing, my anxiety was the best thing I ever did to get rid of it. I have now been free from anxiety for years. I don’t know if that would work for others, though.

Good job at accepting =)
I think some level of issues you just gotta accept yea.
And who knows maybe the things still left will get better too over time.

I have been on meds for years and I still deal with a lot of unwanted thoughts. I think coming to terms with it is a good thing. I manage to function like this, so no harm, no foul.

I gave up fighting remaining symptoms like severe negative symptoms. I still have a hard time accepting them.

Accept you residual symptoms but not let it stop you from functioning. I mean not let it stop you from exercising, remaining busy during day, doing daily activities on time, stop you from doing job if have any etc.
