Abilify may lower one’s inhibitions. For example, it may lead to compulsive gambling.
thats the side effect I forgot to mention in the thread
Not for me. Geodon has been my miracle pill. I had so many issues with Abilify that I call it Disabilify. Naaaasssty.
actually geodon or ziprasidone has a severe reaction with cipralex which is a very good antidepressant so i would rather have the ability to take cipralex and another antipsychotic other than geodon at the same time
Abilify was the darling med of the psychiatric world.
Doctors loved prescribing Abilify to their patients because of it’s safe profile.
first doctor wanted me on abilify but i didnt do good on it and my mother took me to another hospital
I’m taking Geodon and Wellbutrin together. There’s an increased risk of seizures, but it’s pretty small, really. Have practically no side-effects between the two. The main thing I remember about Abilify was the constant river of drool from my mouth while I was sleeping. Woke up with everything soaked and parched with thirst from all the moisture I lost.
I didn’t do well on Abilify either but lots of others are doing well on it.
I was prescribed Abilify when it first came out.
I’m on Abilify. All I know is that it is better than Invega. And yes, it does make you drool in your sleep sometimes.
Abilify caused a lot of side effects for me. Haloperidol works like a charm
Yes I drooled a lot on Abilify as well.
Woke up to a soaked pillow in the mornings.
Abilify actually gave me tardive dyskinesia! My first taste of it. It was my first antipsychotic. It didn’t do anything for my positive symptoms. And that, coupled with the TD, was enough of a reason to quit it completely, with my doctor’s guidance of course.
