“Within neuroscience, developers have long struggled to create successful new drugs for Alzheimer’s. Only a handful of drug successes have ever reached the market, and even they have merely slowed progression of symptoms by 6 to 12 months.”
The same thing more or less can be said about sz medication.
Sz if far difficult…
There’s a sad dilemma with that. Alzheimer’s remains a death sentence and robs a person of his mind. As long as they can function in society such a prolonging of life is good. But if their mind is almost gone it’s more of a torture for the families whose loved ones are barely in the World and a great expense as well. It’s good for them to keep on trying but i’d prefer a cure over a drug treatment. I feel the same about sz as well.
