When someone lied to me, I felt abandoned. A liar is mentally abandoning someone.

Little white lies are what get us through each day…that’s a lovely dress…or…nice hairdo…or…you look great today.
It can all be a pack of lies, but it moves the social needle in the right direction.
Until they repeat what you lied about thinking they’ll score points.
Tons of lies are told on this forum every week.
Name one. And what is the intent?
A compliment which isn’t serious or heartfelt. The intent is to not hurt that person’s feelings.
I would still rather not lie. The only insincere one I can think of is someone congratulating and feeling secretly jealous.
