The last Scotty i made was about a month ago … I’ve written a song and mixed a couple tracks a bit but aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarg i miss tooning . im reluctant maybe cause im overwhelmed by achieving better quality toons
Im bugging about its importance too… Like on one hand its a good cause but seems impossible to get pro level soon… And then its like who really cares when america is so screwed up lately… Im on the edge of depression with paranoia lately
im reluctant maybe cause im overwhelmed by achieving better quality toons
Don’t be a perfectionist maybe?
My therapist says a block is needed to achieve better quality
Hmm that’s pretty cool … To step back to see other attacks or because it builds up im ya? Why does your therapist say that Minnii
He said that because I was having a writters block for two years, but prior to that I was on a loop writting sh*t about the same things over and over, so being able to step back from my work and read it with more mature eyes did me very good.
I used to write for a cinema magazine, and a lot of the work I did for them I consider to be boring and with little depth, if I could do it again I would write differently now.
Take the time to watch some animated shorts on youtube, there’s a bunch of them, there’s a whole corner of the internet for them. Might inspire you to achieve better results with your prefectionism
I’d like to create a full 30 minute episode… Do you think i should stick with shorts currently?
I don’t know. I used to make small video art stuff, then I went on and made 30min/45min videos, only one was good enough to keep people interested, but it was a lot different than what I used to do.
I used to film small fragments of things, like the reflection of the sun on the river waves, and made abstract videos with certain themes. It wasn’t for anyone other than myself and to keep myself busy, but anyway, some of my friends saw it and liked it, so I started experimenting with doing larger pieces. It didn’t work out, they were boring because they were too long. Then I started a project with clips I downloaded from youtube from a lot of different kinds of videos and made a 45min video entilted “GOD” with those clips edited and synced with music, that one people loved. Lost it all when my computer died, didn’t make copies.
So what I’m saying is, sometimes it’s good to know what our work is good for, maybe for a longer video make something different.
I’ve got a plan of the theme being “happy accidents” like thru his goofy mishaps good things fall into place. The first episode is leading up to a talent show that he ultimately loses but makes good friends… I thought of another episode that’s sci fi where ghosts are coming thru radiation
I wish i could a saw your videos… Im a big fan of you as a person to begin with
That seems interesting You should definitely try it out
If in the end you don’t like it, it’s okay you move to other things, no big deal
Aw thanks! I’m thinking I should start doing them again, gave me peace of mind. Being focused on the editing and filming I have a good camera I hardly ever use.
Hitfilm express is better than final cut and its legally free
Do you think Scotty could be as good as what’s on TV? if it weren’t the money i mean… I think he’s pretty unique and uptempo … I could be biased tho… My music never made it far either
I think it’s good yeah, you probably need more time working on it and to develop it.
Anything is better than what’s on tv maaan
Yea. I think in 2 years I’ll have it much better… Realistically
I’ll subscribe to your YouTube Minnii. What editor do you like?
I’m installing Hitfilm express right now to see if I like it I used to have linux so I had another editor, don’t remember the name though, kensomething.
If I start it again I’ll share it
Hitfilm has tons of effects too. Its got the best keying (green screening) I’ve used
Did you install the full version or the typical?
