A Poem: Talk

Why do normies with children,
Only seem to
Want to talk about their children,
And not about me.

The children are an extension of themselves. They are talking about themselves, in both blood and their life. It consumes them. it is them. And you, I’m afraid are an abstraction and a deflection from their self worth.

I’m interested in you. Can i ask how old you are? How was your day? And I hope you are feeling good?

My day was quiet. I’m feeling pretty good today, thanks! :sun_with_face:

this poem’s why I just want to speak with a dude, sometimes.

I am so grateful for normies with children. I’m shy in conversation, but if they have kids, I can just ask a few questions and then sit back and listen and still be thought an awesome conversationalist.

Oh parents who talk, talk, talk about their children
If I could get a word in edgewise,
I would talk, talk, talk about my dog
Just think, we could bore each other to tears.
