There are cases where person A envies person B and viceversa. Especially people with a “have my cake and eat it” mindset… e.g. married people envy single people for their freedom but many singles are longing for the warmth and security that a marriage offers.

Me too. I need the best of everything. I want to be as efficient as I was back when I lived in denial and drowned my problems in workaholic behavior, but as emotionally healthy as I am now that I actually let myself have bad days and talk about being sad.
