A Poem: Meets

I suspect there’s more
To all this than
Meets the eye,
But I suspect it’s bad.

There’s always more than meets the eye, I totally agree. Why do you suspect it’s bad though?

Based on what actually meets the eye, I’d say in probability the rest is bad too.

welcome to the meets and greets,
ware all the would is fine,
i bring to you a memory,
a helpful peace of mind.

Oh, so you extrapolate the bad you can see and you assume the unseen should be equally as rotten, just not visible to the naked eye (yet).

What about “beauty is in the eye of the beholder” then?

Quakers call going to church “going to meeting”. See the best, see no evil.

That sums it up better than I could have put it !

But like I said, it’s just that I suspect that it’s bad.

Well, I sometimes suspect whatever causes sz is very bad. And sz is a defense mechanism that protects our mind from something even darker.

Don’t quote me on that.

@andrey: without getting into too much detail, I had the same sentiment. I saw sz as a penalty. It is a safeguard, an insurance policy.
