A Poem: Many

When you’ve had
Many lucky escapes
You might mistakenly
Think you’re actually lucky

My dad knew someone who won the lottery (the equivalent of an expensive car, which he actually bought with the jackpot money). But a month later he accidentally shot himself in the head during a drill (he worked for the military) and died.
Moral of the story: don’t count your chickens before they hatch. The tide can always turn when you least expect it (this goes both ways of course, for better or for worse).
