A Poem: Blame

Who do you blame?
Why thanks for asking!
I blame my
Parents.

“Why thanks for asking!”

Your parents raised you to be very polite.

“It’s weak to speak and blame somebody else, when you destroy yourself.” - Public Enemy.
I never got the whole blame your parents thing, I went through all kinds of ■■■■ as a kid and still don’t get it. I think it’s easier to blame someone else than possibly acknowledge you are responsible for most things that happen in your life. But what do I know I’m just a mental patient.

Blame for what? If Adrian Monk sees this it will hold up in court as both motive and an admission of guilt.

I don’t blame my parents for anything.

I won the lottery when I got those two to raise me. But revisionist guilt is such an easy and convenient card to play…instead of taking responsibility for your own actions and life choices.
