A Poem: Battle

What if you marry someone
And they become dependent,
And you end up carrying them
Like a wounded soldier in battle?

Love conquers all!

In other words, while you’re being flooded with love brain chemicals, you’ll forgive anything.

When those chemicals fade resentment can set in.

I’ve seen it time and time again. Lived it before too.

Every Valentine’s Day I go Cupid hunting with my bow. I’m personally responsible for ending many relationships.

I slept with only married women for the greater good, I promise.

I think this is something that could happen in any marriage, but it is mutual. If the love is strong I guess people take care of each other. In good and bad days as they say.
