A little naïve

I was on YouTube and an ad came up. It was this new phone charger that claimed it could fully charge any phone in only 8 minutes. It said it could fully charge four phones in 15 minutes.

It showed the product charging all these phones. It sounded so good. I wanted it. It said that it cost $50.00 but it was on sale for $22.00. So I typed in the name of the product and did a search on it. Found out it was a total scam. I found several articles on it that said it did not work and did not do as it claimed. The articles said the website for the company and the product was full of untruths. It said all these 5 star reviews by customers were fake and made up. It also said that the charger cost four dollars in China.

And I thought, “Who does something like that?” I mean with all the dishonesty and corruption in the world it still astounded me that someone would do just an outright rip-off and just make an entirely false video.

Good job checking it out before you bought it. Definitely a good idea to do that, especially when something seems to good to be true.

Yeah, there are a lot of scams. Our landline telephone is just a constant stream of scammers.

Only buy chargers for your electronics from a trusted retailer

eBay/Amazon etc cannot be trusted

Many fires caused by these fake rip offs.

It’s pretty common unfortunately.
